BREAKFAST. 

This morning, you will begin your sightseeing with a guided walking tour of Old and New Quebec, including Place Royale and the Quartier Champlain, the site where the town was settled originally in 1608; the French and Latin Quarters; and the Plains of Abraham, a 235-acre stretch of greenery where the English General Wolfe did battle with the French general, the Marquis de Montcalm. Your group will also visit Quebec's Citadel, located on the highest point in Quebec City, Cap Diamant. 

LUNCH. 

This afternoon your group will participate in a workshop entitled Soldier of the Martello Tower, where, accompanied by British officers, you will learn all about the living conditions of the 19th century soldiers as they were billeted in one of the Martello Towers. You’ll take part in the lifestyle of 1812 with this interesting historical activity with competitions and games. 

The balance of the afternoon is for teacher-led activities and shopping. 

DINNER this evening followed by a ghost tour through the streets of Old Quebec! Walk through the narrow, cobblestone streets of the Upper and Lower Town and listen to the tales of mystery and intrigue that have haunted Quebec for centuries! 

Depart your hotel for an excursion along the Beaupre coast. First stop will be at Chez Marie for a French Canadian BREAKFAST, sampling the home baked bread and maple butter. 

Continue on along the Beaupre coast for a short stop at the shrine of Ste-Anne de Beaupre. Your excursion will continue with a stop at the Copper Shop where you can try your hand at carving copper, and a final stop at Montmorency Falls, one and a half times the height of Niagara! 

Your group will then continue on to the Galeries de la Capitale, where you may have LUNCH (CASH ALLOWANCE $25 provided) at the food court. 

Return to Old Quebec this afternoon where you'll enjoy time for shopping in small groups. 

This evening, you will leave Quebec City for a sugar shack, where you will learn how maple trees are tapped to make maple syrup as well as enjoy a special DINNER with traditional Quebecois entertainment. You, too, can play the spoons! 

BREAKFAST. Depart Quebec City this morning for Clarence. Meal/rest stops will be coordinated between teachers and driver.
